The blossom charity based in Eye, Suffolk will be holding a HOT challenge, a fiery fundraiser. Register now to secure your place.
Always looking for new and different ways to fund raise and also looking for opportunities to help people face challenges and gain confidence, the blossom charity has announced that it will be holding a fire walk in the market town of Eye on 16th of October 2021.
The Suffolk based charity aims to inspire confidence in women and men through one-to-one coaching, workshops and style consultancy so that they can make long-lasting changes to their lives.
The walk itself is just 20 feet long, so that’s 20 feet of red hot embers burning at around 1236. It’s considered to be the shortest, possibly the most challenging walk you will ever take. There is no trickery involved, you will really be walking barefoot foot across burning coals .
Bridget McIntyre the founder of the blossom charity said “We love thinking of ways to fund raise that not only benefit the charity but also benefit the individuals involved. There is lots of evidence that walking on fire is a huge boost to our personal confidence, something we know is important for many. We are working with UK Fire walk, who will run the event for us. They are hugely experienced and will run something that is challenging, will be supported and safe”
Jackie Ordish who leads fundraising said “ We have spoken to many people who are already registering their interest in doing the fire walk and we hope that many more will want to register to experience something completely different. The team at Blossom are all going to take on this challenge. This is a real bucket list opportunity “
The firewalk will cost £25 to register and the blossom charity is asking that people raise a minimum of £100 in sponsorship for completing the challenge. Training will be given on the evening and participants must be 16+
